What can I use to seal painted faces on cloth dolls ?

You could use something like Camp Dry. It should help to set and give it an easily cleanable surface.

You might try Scotchgard Protector, it does well protecting upholstery and rugs. We use it on our car seats.

Krylon makes a product called " Workable Fixatif" and it's archival safe.

Wash and dry your fabric prior to painting if possible, then paint away. After the paint is completely dry (at least 24 hours), you need to heat set it for permanency and washability. Most fabrics can be heat set using an iron on medium or high heat for 3-5 minutes.Apr 24, 2014

I would use one of the Mod Podge range to seal it.

try polycrylic spray sealer.

There is a fabric sealer from Modge Podge. You can get it at the craft stores or on Amazon.

I would use spray on lacquer. You can get it in gloss, semi-gloss or matt.

They sell fabric spray sealers at most craft stores.

Hi! When I took dollmaking classes, years ago, we used a clear sealer spray. Mod Podge may work, also. They also make fixative sprays for art that I have used. Stay safe!
