I love doing things for my mama. Now that she is living with us I love doing things to make her room look and feel like it is special to her. Even though I am not an artist I get great pleasure out of creating special art works for my family and friends. As I sat staring at the blank sketch paper and wanting to do something special for my mama my little arthritic fingers started working their magic.
My first step was to create my art work and mount it on black burlap. The sketch has been adhered to the burlap using spray adhesive.
After placing the art work to the burlap I then cut a thin piece of plywood the size of the burlap and adhered the two using spray adhesive. My mama wants to hang this on her wall so I am going to drill a small hole in the wood so that I can hang it.
The finished product. My mama loves it.
After mounting the piece on the burlap I sprayed it with a clear gloss sealer. Project completed.
