Hi, I have been looking for a wood project so I could bring out my Unicorn Spit and let my creative juices flow! I love this product so much! If you love wood and colors, this stuff is for you!
I lucked out and found this oar that someone had put out on trash day! It was a little dirty but I knew this was a great find!
Step 1- I knew I was going to use Unicorn SPit stain on this piece so I sanded all the gunk off and got it down to the bare wood.
This is it bare..
Step 2-I had to decide which colors of Unicorn Spit I was going to use. Lucky me, I have all 10 of the original colors!
Step 3- I decided on 4 colors(Pixie Punk Pink, Blue Thunder, Zia Teal and White Ning).

I squirted out the colors the way I wanted them, Sprayed the project with water to help spread the Spit and I used my hand and wiped across to blend the colors together.
This is what it looked like after I spread it all the way down the oar!
Another look after spreading it out
Step 4- After it dried(which is in less than 30 minutes) I lightly sanded the oar.
Step 5-I decided to put a little quote on it. I used Unicorn Spit Midnight Blackness. I used to coats of this color because I wanted it use it as a paint not a stain. (Another reason this product is so great, Versatality!!!
Step 6-After that dried I put 3 coats of OIL BASED POLYURETHANE! This step is essential because Unicorn Spit is water based so it MUST be sealed with an oil based product.
This is the finished oar!
Step 4-I now need a place to hang it!!!
