DIY Amazing Bottle Art Using Paper Bags

6 Materials
1 Hour

Create a very cool and modern bottle art for your drawing room using just paper bags and a bottle!!

Take a used glass bottle and prime it with white Gesso.

Take a brown paper bag. Tear it into small pieces.

Using Mont Marte oil paint start dabbing the edges of the torn pieces as shown in the picture below.

Dabbing in this manner gives a very nice "burnt" effect. See the picture.

Using Deco Magic decoupage glue, start sticking the burnt effect paper pieces on the bottle.

The bottle will look like this, once you stick the pieces on the bottle using the decoupage glue.

This is the bottle with all the pieces of paper stuck on it.

Using a macrame twine, decorate the top edge of the bottle.

Now to give a final shine and secure the work, varnish the bottle with Decor Varnish Gloss.

Lo and behold!! You have made a very cool bottle art with very simple and everyday items available at home. Now give flight to your imagination and display the bottle in your drawing room. I am sure this will be the talking point the next time your guests are around!!

Neat kinda looks like giraffe. I like it and this could be done on vases of all shapes.

We used to do this 40 years ago at least. I always overlapped my pieces to make it look more like leather and then we just rubbed on shoe Polish and wiped it off and it really looks like leather. Such a simple fun craft.
