Bottle cutting has become wildly popular and there are a lot of (bad) tutorials out there on how to cut bottles. After successfully cutting hundreds of bottles with the DIY tabletop method, I decided to upgrade my set up to a wet saw with a diamond blade so I could cut hundreds of bottles in hours instead of months.

Materials:

Wet Saw that supports a 10" blade. I got a cheap one at Harbor Freight for $300. But they have $100 models at Home Depot.

Diamond Blade Saw. Here's where you can't skip and get a cheap version. For best results buy the Husqvarna 10" X .085 X 5/8" Superlok Glass Blade, sold by His Glass Works.

When you cut your bottles make sure water is continuously running on the bottle at all times. Go slowly and deliberately. Keep a firm grip on both sides of the bottle. Watch the video for full technique.

The great thing about cutting with a tile saw is you can cut any shape bottle in minutes!

Here are some more fun shaped bottles that I cut in less than an hour. I usually make candles, vases, or tumblers out of my cut bottles!

I used the method above to turn these big whiskey bottles into pendant lights! It's way easier than you might expect!
