My Maximalistic Side Comes to Show...

Ok, so I'm in this "green" phase... I love both the COLOR, but also repurposing and recycling...
I started up with this empty and clean bottle...
And then I poured green acryllic paint into it...
It's a cheap brand of paint, so I'd rather use too much than ending up annoyed that I didn't use enough... Then I started tilting the bottle to cover the entire inside...
I kept swirling and tilting it......until the entire inside was covered...
Then the real fun part starts: DECORATING!!! So I glued burlap around the bottle, and cut it to fit.

A tip for when you use a hot glue gun, and the medium you are glueing is not dense, I use a silicon spatula to pat it, so I don't burn my fingertips(which are already blistered from previous hot glue projects... I finally learned from my mistakes!!! Go figure...)
I have a mason jar filled with ribbon scraps, and I dove into it and I picked out all the scraps that fit the theme and solor scheme I wanted, and I also found some embellishments I thought might fit:
And then I started playing around with the differnt scraps and embellishments...
Some of the ribbons I tied around this belt clasp, others I just "hung", and glued down.
When in doubt, add more stash!!! (Oh, did I forgot to mention I'm a maximalist?!?) So you can see the finished bottle on the top photo... After I took the picture, I actually added a candle in it, and I hope the wax eventually will run down the sides of it, and make it even cooler...
