Any City Northern Charm that isn't Farmhouse Southern?
Love all the designs but most to almost none rock with my old NYC House Living

Hi Sandy, yeah right now the farmhouse look is definitely still reigning supreme. But I've always been partial to the older studio look (exposed brick etc.) I'm thinking that may be what you're looking for? Here are some interesting examples. https://www.thespruce.com/industrial-bedroom-ideas-4171624
Have you looked at Joanna Gaines's recent styles? She has morphed from that straight-out white Farmhouse feel to adding a more industrial/rustic vibe that would work well in an NYC home.
I think the colors you choose can make a big difference. Instead of those coastal sort of colors you could choose earthier tones and more rustic materials.
Love modern farmhouse but that look is on the way out. and or has been done A LOT I still hold onto it since I have so many carvings and laser metal cutouts. Hope you can get some ideas here:

You might also try typing exactly what you are looking for into the search. Just the amount of basic decor you can make yourself is awesome.
My house is 122 yr old old Italian construction... I have this Spanish-Italian style with some slight Antiques & Ethnic elements then there's the 55in TV and computer modern. LOL, my house looks like a little last minute thrown together museum of everything but haven't seen anything that can represent and blend them all.
First floor construction is on hold due Covid..so I had to find ways to hide the demo'd areas with curtains and wall tapestries but before the construction starts up again, I want to have a few decorating ideas.
Choose a style that you love, whether it's farmhouse or cottage or boho or whatever. I think the thing that makes farmhouse "southern" is cotton. Go with accents of things that are not normally associated with the south like lavender (hard to grow down here in the hot climate). Dairy farms are universal so accents with milk crates, jugs, churns, and other items would not be southern to me either.
Go for more industrial rather than farmhouse
