One important step is to prepare the driftwood for hanging. And one way to do that is by using chalk and a board about the same length as the driftwood. Lay the board on a table so you can reach the driftwood. Choose the back side of the driftwood and place that on the board. You can see how far out the branches stick out so you can turn or trim the driftwood if you wish. Once set, take chalk a different color than the driftwood, start looking carefully at what parts of the driftwood touch the board. Lift the drift wood at one end just a few inches. Rub the side of the chalk on the board under where the driftwood touches, then do the middle and other end. Try to have at least three chalked areas, roughly evenly spaced. Flip over the driftwood and remove the board. Where you see chalk is where the hangers need to go in order to hang the driftwood. If possible, hang the driftwood by the most center hanger, but use drywall screws if needed. This ought to hold even a large piece of driftwood. Arrange other decor around the driftwood. Best wishes ☺️
