You could go to the extreme and do your name or any popular word, or an arrow which seems to be trendy.
A vase or a flowerpot can be wrapped with glue and thick string, halfway or halfway down. Crochet yarn is also great for this.
If you can blow up a balloon, you can wrap string or yarn dipped in glue and water around and around the balloon until you like the way it looks. Set the wet balloon on the top of a flowerpot or bowl and let it dry—up to a couple of days. Pop the balloon and remove if you left enough space. You can even cut out a section of the string ball and insert fairy lights to shine through. You can hang it by fishing line from the ceiling. 😇
