Use Mod Podge, Seal the wood with it. When dry. mod Podge back of picture thinly. Place picture on wood and smooth gently in place. Leave to dry, bubbles is any, will disappear. Apply Mod Podge over entire area one dry and leave to dry again.
Mod Podge is a great option. If you don't want to deal with any glues, the picture could be tacked on the 4 corners to the wood.
Mod Podge is an excellent mounting medium. Here are directions for different methods:

ModPoge will work well. To keep any bubbles at bay, use a piece of plastic wrap around your fingers to smooth the surface well before leaving to dry.
here is info for you Barbara

ModPodge would probably be your best bet.
Modge Podge! If youāre wondering how to transfer photos to wood, itās a relatively simple process. Youāll print a photo out on a dry ink printer (like laserjet or an HP). Youāll paint a medium on the front of the photo, and then smooth it onto an unfinished or painted surface.
The image will need to dry on the surface overnight, and then you will wet the surface and rub off the paper, leaving the image from the ink and the dried medium behind. This particular medium will give your image a white background (as opposed to clear).
I think Mod Podge is the glue youāll need for this.
Hello, hope this helps you out, Mod podge is always your best bet to accomplish this,

Your best bet is Mod Podge. Just follow the directions on the bottle. Use a good brush so you do not have brush strokes/
