Crafternoons: what do you think of my dollar store wreath?

A friend and I have a studio where we host craft nights. We made these adorable bunny and fabric wreaths this last week. The metal wreath frame and bunny are from the dollar store. This is not an original craft. I saw this on a blog post somewhere but cannot find it now.

We used three coordinating colors and a base color. You need about 40 pieces of approx 4" X 8" of each coordinating color (black floral, pink, and black tulle in this case) and about 120 pieces of the base color. I used a flecked muslin for the base.

Tie the fabric onto the wire wreath alternating one coordinating color then base, another coordinating color then base, etc. I started from the outside.

Just keep filling in. It took about two hours to tie all the pieces onto the wreath. It took about an hour to cut all the pieces for one wreath. This is definitely NOT a quick craft.

I tied the bunny on with string so I could switch him for something not specific to Easter later on.

Beautiful! I have the wreath form, just need to spend time cutting up all the fabric! Yours is too cute! After Easter is over you can replace with something else! Thanks for sharing. ☺Helpful Reply -
