How do I get mums to tay alive. I buy them every year and every year?
Every year I buy mums and every year they die. Too much sun? Too much water? I have a black thumb to begin with but everyone tells me the are easy. The only thing I don’t kill are geraniums and point settings

If you wait to plant in the fall, they will not have sufficient time to develop a hardy root system. Plant in spring and summer to allow time for them to develop a good root system. I like to plant them in fall for the color and treat them as annuals.
