Untwine your plant if you can, otherwise cut it so you can re-grow it again. Then Paint your Fence, and this time, fix plastic wire netting to a wooden frame you paint to match the fence, then screw it to the fence where by you can remove it when you next paint the Fence and it won't affect your Plant so much.Helpful Reply -

most places Passion flowers grow, they grow like weeds, and can take over a plot (and send up shoots 4 feet away from the mother plant, on top of it)so feel free to cut it back hard enough you can detatch it from the fence -if you give it something 'else' to grow up, it will - and it doesn't take much,http://www.leevalley.com/us/Garden/page.aspx?p=51218&cat=2,33286&ap=1 is plenty, and gives you a chance to put a foot or so between the vine, and the fence.painting in cold weather is a bit of a hassle, so you'll have to hustle if you want to do that before spring - but it will be nice to have a fresh fence : )Helpful Reply -
