You want to move from pots to ground? Depending on where you live, I would consider waiting until spring.
If you just want to transplant to a bigger pot, you can do that now if the plant is root bound.

I totally agree with Naomie on this one.
Some are considered 'hardy' and others are more 'tropical' --- depends on the variety of Hibiscus .. most sold in 'big box' stores in large pots are in some areas considered 'annuals' used on decks or around pools in the summer and replaced next season ..
