My favorite is Moss Rose (also called portulaca). It has big pink flowers and blooms all summer. In the winter, cut it back, let it rest in the garage and start watering again in the spring.

Hello Katelyn, I love the drapey and effortless care of sedum in hanging planters.

I love creeping jenny for it's lime green leaves, with purple, pink and white petunias, plus colorful coleus and a sweet potato plant. If you want to keep it simple, petunias are reliable bloomers by themselves and if you fertilize them regularly they can be dazzling. Try a Pinterest or Google search for best plants for hanging pots.

Just about any short annual flowers can be grown in a hanging basket and look beautiful. From geraniums, skirting vines, and even through pansies for winter, you have a winter. Just don’t try lilies, day lilies, jonquils or other bulked plant unless you have a basket large enough for their roots and y’all leaves. Best wishes, Katelyn. ☺️

Fuschias for shade, trailing petunias for sun, Mojito mint, lantana, bouganvilla/mandevilla; calibrochea, swedish ivy, etc.
