i have had mine for 4 or 5 yrs and was ready to throw it out and I noticed a new growth coming out and it bloomed the two flowers have been on there a month now still beautiful , don't over water it and don't get water on le aves if you do wipe it off with napkin
location, location, location. Orchids thrive on neglect if they like where they are. Make sure they're getting the right light and temperature requirment. put them over a tray filled with pepples and water so they get humidity, water in the morning only. They don't like going to bed with wet feet. They do well outdoors if the climate is right for them. I'm in Calif where cymbidiums are happy outdoors. In Hawaii, cymbidiums need green houses, but other orchids are happy outdoors. Make sure your orchid is right for the conditions!
