Hi Kathy. Using the aquarium would be fine. I would just rinse it first.Helpful Reply -

Sure, and I also use as decor on top of some of my houseplants. Here is a link.https://www.luckybambooshop.com/repotting-lucky-bamboo/Helpful Reply -

I agree with Kathy, I have reused aquarium gravel in my pots after I washed it many times. I have the gravel from a few small aquariums that I combined into a bigger one. I had to replace the gravel because each one had different colors that I didn't want in the bigger one. Aquarium gravel is handy when you have it around doing nothing.Helpful Reply -

I would use small stones, or a bark - this works great. The gravel may be too small, to do good. Best wishes, J.Helpful Reply -

The bark that I did mention, you can get at a store, not in the yard. This is treated, and cared for, so there is good response to your plants. I just wanted to make this clear, in case you did misunderstand me. It is hard to say, what works good for some, and not good for others. Also, I do change my soil, in the plants, about every 6 months, just remove 2-2.1/2 inches of soil, and fill with fresh soil. This does a great deal for them, also. When you plan on doing this, be sure the soil is at room temp, for the plants are very tender. . they have feelings too!! Have a great day and a lovely season!! Best wishes, J.Helpful Reply -
