I’ve had it for a few years and it seems every year they get worse, the taste that is. Now I just pick them and throw them away. What a waste.....
Alot of manure and compost. Always remember:
The only reason food or fruit bearing plants were not destroyed by our prehistoric ancestors is because the trees or bushes or plants were able to convert something these archaics did not like to eat, into something these did like to eat.
So basically, although the actual taste of the archaics, is debatable and in question [as: did these morons burn up and extinct many trees with bad tasting fruits, which we might have used for medicines, to treat cancer, aids, and ingigestion as well as many other diseases past and to come, or use as preservatives, pesticides or other food additives?] mostly any food waste and garden waste that you do not eat, your pecan tree will turn into pecans and shells.
Fine examples are: peels from oranges, bananas, potatoes, carrots, pears and husks from corn and of course, shells from the pecans themself, grasses, and leaves.
Of course many fungi like mosses are greatly assistive in accelerating the speed of biodegrading food wastes in composting to high yeild composts, and you should look into those by doing a google search for:
Fungi and mosses beneficial to pecan yeild.
See if these help!
