Outdoor spigot leaks only when hose is attached and on full power??
I have a (haha) never kink hose attached to a spigot. Two things: 1) it will leak at the faucet like middle of the stem ONLY when hose is attached and ONLY when I have the faucet turned completely up full blast. 2) again, when hose is attached, it makes a light rattly maybe air ? Sound?
Could it be just a problem with the hose?
Can a spigot burst backward in a house?

Have you attempted to call whoever made the type of hose you have and explained this to them?
Call the company that made the hose you are referring to and ask them. I doubt this would be the first time they have heard this and I bet they can guide you in the right direction.
Have you replaced the gasket or washer in your spigot? It maybe worn out enough to cause the problems you are seeing.
First try replacing or adding a washer. Good luck, I've never found a hose that doesn't leak somewhere. Such a pain.
I would also replace the washer on the hose. I know mine cracked last summer from the heat which caused it to leak.
The rattling sound is probably a loose or worn washer. The pressure of the water in the hose is causing it to leak. It's not the hose and won't "burst" back into the house.

Hi! It could be the faucet, but, my money is on the hose. If there is a washer you can replace, it may fix it. Sometimes the hose connector gets bent just enough to keep it from sealing completely. I disconnect my hose from the spigot when not in use. Good luck and stay safe!
How old is the spigot, and how old is the hose?
I had the same problem a while back.
The kink-resistant hose is extra stiff and even a small movement in the line will put pressure on the spigot. Ours actually shifted our spigot's attachment point about 5° off center before we noticed the problem.
Naturally, when the spigot shifted, its internal workings got loose, & that is how water started coming out the top.
We added not 1 but 3 washers to tighten things back up. And then we went back to using the same hose.
Wouldn't you know it, but that builder's basic spigot actually snapped the following year. There was no shutoff valve for the outside line, so we had to shut off water to the entire house until we could replace the spigot the next morning.
Look over your spigot. Adding washers is a very cheap fix. But if your spigot is old, or if you just don't like it, you may want to price out better spigots while you are next at the hardware store.
