Alice Plays Backgammon

A customer asked me if I could paint a china cabinet with a 'funky bottom' and a backgammon board inside?
Of course I said yes! What else would I say?
A few sleepless nights later, I came up with an idea. Painted one door and the lady said YES!
I painted the bottom first and made sure all was ok with the customer.
The next challenge was the backgammon board. A lot of measuring, taping and free hand painting later
I decided the inside needed some attention too and a little pop of colour
A close up of the doors
And here she is 'Alice plays Backgammon'

Did you have to strip all the wood before you painted? I have a similar hutch that I want to paint in an antique white and distress it. Your piece looks amazing!!
