I agree with Kelli, but if you aren't satisfied with that, then you can paint it with rustoleum tub&tile. It is not an easy product to use, but it will change the color of your shower

Since it's in the basement, why not just leave it all and work on the walls to make it look different? Paint the walls white and get towels, accessories, and pictures with browns, blues and greens in it.

If you can make the shower glass or tile, and walk-in, it will be updated and useful. If you could expand the size by double, the shower would be so much more inviting and it would become a true 3/4 br with no tub needed. Adding a four-footed tub is very modern and makes another full bath in your home. Whatever you decide, take lots of photos and post your project on Hometalk. Best wishes!

Check out one of your paint stores, they can give you plenty of information. They also have companies will make it look brand new, they are costly.

Why not lighten the entire space with fresh paint? There are any number of colors that coordinate with tan. If the color is a light almond shade, it may even work with soft yellow undertones or ivory.

If the space permits, add lighting to both sides of the mirror, rather than just overhead lighting. The shower stall could then be updated with a custom shower curtain, in a pattern of your choice, to coordinate with your wallpaper.

If finances permit, the single handle faucet could be updated to a more Euro styled one, and the wall plate cover, as well.

Is this a moulded Acrylic Shower, Is so, you could try covering it in Contact, or Sticky backed Tile covers. You may also be able to paint it, but I don't have experience of doing that. If all else fails either Live with it until you can afford to have it replaced or do it now!
