How can I make over kitchen cabinets without stripping the paint?

I have old painted kitchen cabinets. The paint is chipping and the cabinets are looking pretty tacky. I don’t have the energy to strip the paint. What are some options to make these cabinet doors look good again? At least better! 🤔 thanks!

    Cover with contact paper maybe?

Contact paper begins to peel and will leave a tacky glue mess on the doors. Maybe you could take the doors off, remove the hardware and paint them. Us one of those that has the primer in it. Use a sprayer on the doors and a brush to do the frames. Maybe buy some new pulls and handles for the doors.

Get some wood or resin medallions from amazon or wherever. Paint, it pleasing yourself. High contrast, , low like, different color shading. Play with arrangement. Audition it. Before deciding, tape up on doors of cabinet doors. NOT EVERY DOOR. Keep it to 3 or 5 doors Hot glue, or strong construction glue.

Maybe sand them down smooth (not all the way, just so it feels smooth and the chips are gone) and paint again. Just make sure it's not lead based paint... if so it has to be stripped and not sanded.

    Hello Irene,

Try filling the chips with a filler then rub down and re-paint, or cover in Contact or Fabric

sealed with Mod Podge. or decoupage them .
