Unless you know how to move plumbing, you are going to have to hire a professional
Full size washer and dryer are usually too big for a linen closet. Need at 36 inches wide 36 inches deep for a stack unit. Need to run venting for dryer and a drain line and water supply for washer.
Yes, you’ll need to hire a pro to provide not only the supply & drain lines, but also the drain vent.
Clothes closet’s are supposed to be 24 inches deep, but a linen closet can be any size at all. What size is yours?
At 24” deep the washer and dryer will stick out the front by 12 inches. Washers and dryers sit about 6-7” away from the plumbing wall for the hose & vent hook-ups.
And be sure to have him install one of those waterproof trays to sit the washer in, just in case you get an overflow or leak.
You may want to consider looking into a washer / dryer combo unit that doesn't require a vent just water hookups and a drain. We love ours if you want to know more we wrote a blog post all about it: https://www.grandmashousediy.com/washer-and-dryer-combo-unit/
