Portable washer & dryer on stackable rack.
What can I do?
I live in a studio apartment and I have this exact set up for my portable washer & dryer but I don't like it. It's in my kitchen and it makes my kitchen look too busy, too cluttered. I want some kind of cabinet to hide them when they're not in use but I'm a 57 year old disabled woman who is not handy when it comes to constructing something myself. Any ideas?

Can you use a tension rod and a curtain to hide them?
Hi Betsy Anne, that looks really compact which of course what is needed in a studio apartment. Are you wanting to hide it or what?
Perhaps the easiest solution would be a freestanding screen/room divider. A curtain could also be held in place with magnets. A vertical whiteboard on wheels that can be rolled out of way on wash day. Keep an eye out on your local facebook marketplace, ebay, rummage sales etc . for ideas too.
Betsy Anne. I can see your problem. With the washer being a top loader instead of a front loader, you can't stack them on top of each other. How about taking really good Velcro and place it along the top edge of the dryer on both sides and back. Can you sew, sewing machine or a friend with a sewing machine? If not, use that stuff in the bottle to turn your raw edges down and hide them. Buy some nice material you like, hide those raw edges top and bottom so it's washable. Stick your Velcro along the top edge of your material and stick it to the Velcro on the dryer! You can Velcro something on the front, you would just have to remove it when your wash day came around, then put it back up! I hope i was of some help.
