How can I cover the back porch in a rental-friendly way?

I live in a rental house and I will like to cover the small porch that I have in the back, without spending a lot of money.

Buy one of those collapsable tents. Decorate it with an indoor/outdoor rug, plants, etc.
Sail shade or EZ Up are your best bet as you can take with you when you move.
I have a popup tent on my back deck. It is anchored to the deck with screws and tie down ropes with eye hooks. My pop up tent top/roof is hexagon shape rather than rectangular. I have found that the hexagon shape drains the rain water and doesn't sag in comparison to the rectangular shape that will collect pockets of water and sag. I also lower it if there is a bad storm with high wind on it's way. My tent is a Coleman and I have been able to replace the top about every 3 years and keep the same frame. My tent has also has bug screen all the way around. If I put down an outside rug in the tent I rarely have any bugs inside the tent. A sail shade would be less expensive.
Hello Yari, you can build yourself a pergola and use nylon or a tarp as a cover. Use screws and you can take it when you move out by taking it apart.
