How do I make waterproof outdoor pillows?
Make outdoor pillows and they need to be pretty much waterproof. I've trying to think of ways to do it...came up w/using vinyl tablecloths but they might not be very comfy...prob. be stiff...didn't know if my HT friends may have some ideas... and maybe you could help...

Spray with scotch guard. That's what I use on my outdoor pillows.
There's a heavy duty Scotch Guard meant to provide maximum protection to outdoor fabric designs.
Sunbrella fabric is meant for outdoor use.
I have used plastic tablecloths to cover my outdoor bench seat and chair seats for years...I change them to match the seasons! Now, mine are under a covered patio, but they still get wet from blowing rain. Maybe they won't last more than a year, but they are cheap! I just wrap the cushions like a present and duck tape them closed on the underside. No sew, no trouble, no big deal and nobody knows!
Janerose, here are several videos that may help you, and after you finish the pillows, do what Naomie suggested, spray with Scotch Guard. I use it too!

You will need to use some kind of waterproof fabric like Sunbrella fabric. Once you choose the fabric you can easily make a square the size of a pillow form and hand sew the final edge after slipping in the pillow form.
