How can an outside planter be aged? And last!
I keep coming across household containers, planters and vases and such, that have been beautifully aged, but I've yet to learn how to turn, say, a shiny ceramic outside planter into 'olde,' much less the ubiquitous black plastic pots. I seek that muddy, rough concrete look that will last thru PNW winters. Think rain!

Here are some tips on how to age it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wym-0L_OZSk
I just read an article of using quick set cement and dirt.... yes dirt. I suppose to give it more texture. Use gloves and mix the two with enough water to make a thick consistency. Using your gloves, pat the mixture onto your container. Allow it to dry and you can take and paint,,,, craft acrylic outside paint and dilute at least 1/2 with water and sponge on till you get that antiqued aged look. Using charcoal and moss green are great ideas.
There are many good spray paints that have a textured look. Check out local paint store..
Concrete look is gray sponged on with a little white after it then black thin lines on edges only
