Any home remedies for ants? Small ants that love your crumbs!

Table salt or peppermint oil

I had some leftover shower cleaner that was a mixture of vinegar and dawn dishwashing detergent that I sprayed on the ants I had in my kitchen. They died right away. I left the mixture there a little while and wiped it away. No more ants!

Dishwashing soap and water. Spray directly on the ants.

A little bit of creamy peanut butter mixed with some honey and a small amount of Borax. If the ants are dying before they get back to the nest add more peanut butter, your solution is too strong .

WITH IT BEING A GOOD SEASON FOR THEM, WE MUST BE VERY ALERT TO ANY PLACES WHERE THEY MAY FIND CRUMBS, OR GOODS. THE BEST REMEDY THAT I CAN SUGGEST, IS TO CLEAN THE DOOR PANEL, WHERE YOU COME IN, AND PUT SALT ON IT. THEY WILL NOT BOTHER YOU, AT ALL. YOU MAY HAVE TO DO THIS MONTHLY, BUT TO US, THIS IS SURE THE BEST ANSWER, AND THE PRICE IS GREAT. IF YOU WANT, YOU CAN USE A SCENTED CLEANER BEFORE THE SALT. FOR THESE ANTS MAY BE ABLE TO SMELL, NONE HAVE EVER TOLD ME YET!! I DO THIS TO ALL ENTRIES, ALSO THE GARAGE, AND FRONT DOOR. NONE USE MY WINDOWS, THO I CLEAN THE FRAMES WITH A SCENTED CLEANER TOO. Most ants hate cinnamon. Sprinkle some on the paths they follow.

mix a few drops of peppermint oil and water in spray bottle and spray that area. They will be gone overnight

Cinnamon! I remeber a time when I had bottle caps of the stuff on my counters. After I cleaned the area with vinegar. Good luck!

packaged cornbread mix that says it is sweetened and put it where they are coming in if you can find it, or even on your counter in a small lid. They will take it to the mound, everyone will eat it and die, they can't digest the cornmeal, but will take it because it is sweetened. Little goes a long way.
