I use a mixture of javel water and water,I mix mine 1 to 1 ,Put it in a spray bottle ,then I spray plants individually, soaking them,A few days later brown leaves and they die,be wary of dead foliage this plant can bite even after death, handle with care, both plants and spray.
I'll tell you what some farmers I used to live near would do. They would use flame-throwers. Not the kind in super violent movies. But their flame-throwers could burn down a thicket of briars or a patch of poison oak or ivy in minutes. The farmers said it also got rid of snake nests. Then they could let the cows in the pasture or cultivate a field. Flame-throwers are available at most farm supply stores. Best wishes. 😇

Suit up and dig it out, and use a chemical solution. That should eventually be a long term solution. Good luck!
