I found that as soon as we got rid of one weed problem, another one popped up. Keep in mind that weed seeds are spread by the wind and birds too!My solution? I went to a professional lawn care company.I pay for 8 treatments a year...fertilizer, lime, pre-emergence, weed killer...for about the same amount we were paying for chemicals and fighting a losing battle with weeds! My yard is weed free and I don't have to fool with it.Helpful Reply -

Go with a professional company for a year and they will come back without cost to correct your problem. Then do it yourself with a good product!Helpful Reply -

While dandelions can be irritating please remember that they are the first food for honey bees after a long winter. Please don't poison them the poison goes back to the hive and can damage an already weak colony. We need the bees if we are going to have food they do the majority of pollinating for our fruits and vegetables that we enjoy in the summer.Helpful Reply -

Because of the bee issue, I would suggest digging them, rather than spraying them. They are one of the first plants bees collect from and poisoning them can potentially kill a lot of beesHelpful Reply -

take hold. Getting your lawn thicker, will prevent weed from being able to take hold. One you have them 5 choices(1) dig them up. (2) Buy a spreader and put on Scotts weed and feed. (3) Spray individual weeds with weed killer or natural mix of white vinegar/ salt / dishwashing liquid. (4) Pay a company to put chemicals on the lawn. (5) Burn them with a torch like product designed to kill weeds.Helpful Reply -
