How do I get rid of an "extremely invasive weed" in my whole garden?

The soil is just a mass of very fine roots. It seems impossible to put the whole root out when weeding. Any ideas?

You can spray it with vinegar or hot water. Either will kill it. It takes time and persistence, but it will eventually diminish over time.Helpful Reply -

If there are other plants in the garden the only way to rid the weeds is to smother them with newspapers, cardboard, heavy landscape fabric and mulch.Helpful Reply -

I get weeds like that in my flower bed. I pull them often and if they are far enough from other plants I pour hot vinegar on them, it seems to be doing a good job.Helpful Reply -
