Any repellent with egg solids, blood, hot pepper, or capsaicin as an ingredient is your best choice. Some repellents contain both eggs and hot pepper or capsaicin, and those work particularly well.

Hmm... I would google that question. Right off, I can think of going to a place or ordering something that repels them, like a powder to use around the bed, maybe. Maybe getting on your computer and look up all the places that might sell that sort of thing. Good luck.

Hi- For years, we had deer snacking on our flowers. I tried the nasty egg spray, hot sauce, human hair, and NEVER got a rose. The deer also spread diseases to plants, and that's what ended it all. I had the yard stripped and put in deer resistant plants and a dry streambed. Yarrow, sages, lavenders, verbenas, shasta daisies, grasses, have all survived. The deer now walk down the street and past my house. Several neighbors have added low deer fencing around their yards, and some even planted roses on the outer sidewalk areas as an offering. Just give all your neighbors some fragrant roses and the deer may lose interest in you! I never got to try the motion sensored noise makers, or water squirters, but they seem easier than spraying rotten egg smell on your garden.

I haven't tried this but I have read that you can take a bar of Irish spring soap grated (like you would cheese) and put that around your plants/flower beds and the deer will stay away. It wouldn't cost much to try it 🤷‍♀️

GO TO YOUR BARBER AND GET HAIR CUTTINGS AND PUT THEM AROUND YOUR PLANTS. THEY DON'T LIKE THE HAIR. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU.

Hi Peg. I'm Cindy. I recommend spreading out some shredded Irish Spring bars of soap. You can shred them on a box grater or even in a food processor. I buy the big 12-pack of Irish Spring in the spring and shred them all at one time. I store it all in a five-gallon bucket with lid and keep it in my shed. We live next to woods and the DuPage River. We see a lot of wild life. I tried everything to keep the animals out of my vegetable garden and nothing worked. Until I finally tried the shredded soap. I use it every year.
