How do I keep wild deer from eating out of my birdfeeder?
Wild deer visit my property almost every evening and thru the night. They eat many of the plants that I have growing in my gardens so I try to plant the ones they don't like. HOWEVER, I do have two bird feeders on my property. The deer stick their tongues up, inside, and eat what is left in there. Any suggestion?
I wouldn't think of doing ANYTHING to hurt any of them. After-all, they were here long before this place was built. This IS their home. Their land.

Just take the bird feeders in at night. That's what my girlfriends do. Also cuts down on the rodent population that visits too.
You can get feeders that have small openings so only the little birds can feed. Some seed will be knocked to the ground and eaten by bigger birds and deer.
Raise the feeders up higher so they cannot get in it even if they stand on hind legs......maybe get one of these https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3tkisGtIgE feed the deer so they don't eat from bird feeders https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1vhfQ-Siow another https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jncknv09JWo what kind of birds are you feeding? little ones ? bigger ones ? you can wrap the feeder with wire fencing the deer cannot get thru but the birds can fit thru or get caged ones https://www.amazon.com/FORUP-Squirrel-Outdoor-Birdfeeder-Deterrent/dp/B07MDW2NWC/ref=asc_df_B07MDW2NWC/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=343304105890&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1231382763867472017&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030158&hvtargid=pla-764489134687&psc=1&tag=&ref=&adgrpid=68769934443&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvadid=343304105890&hvpos=1o1&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1231382763867472017&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030158&hvtargid=pla-764489134687 you could use a motion sensor sprinkler head or a motion activated sound deterent https://www.amazon.com/Orbit-62100-Activated-Sprinkler-Detection/dp/B009F1R0GC/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=sprinkler+heads+animal+repelants&qid=1564248496&s=lawn-garden&sr=1-1-spell sound https://www.amazon.com/ZOVENCHI-Ultrasonic-Repeller-Waterproof-Squirrel/dp/B07S3LTWZG/ref=pd_cp_86_4?pd_rd_w=kUlur&pf_rd_p=ef4dc990-a9ca-4945-ae0b-f8d549198ed6&pf_rd_r=FE5TRKEFETE219B3XXRS&pd_rd_r=0ae0373e-9391-4513-bf52-24f15a17513f&pd_rd_wg=hTAX9&pd_rd_i=B07S3LTWZG&psc=1&refRID=FE5TRKEFETE219B3XXRS
I had a client who put his bird feeders on mini pulleys that he used to lower the feeders to fill them, and then hoist them up so the bears couldn't reach them. Requires someone get up on a ladder to install the pulley and the paracord, and then he had a simple cleat type on the side of the house to wind the paracord around to keep it up.
