I have voles that are digging up my lawn, how do I get rid of them?
They are leaving dirt piles and holes all over my lawn. I have tried to drown them, but they are still here and digging.
You can dig them out and dispose of, or hire someone to do the chore for you. There are lots of clean up crews always looking for work.
put them on Craig's list for "free" in the garden and free sections. Tell them they have to dig them up themselves! You'd be surprised how many responses you'll get!
Hello Anthony; I would place free ads anywhere in the town where you reside.
I would state that you have "X number of Bushes for FREE!!! Please call, and come, and dig them up!!"
Also, if you attend a Church or such, it would be worthwhile to tell several people about this, as so many people are looking for Bushes, Plants, Flowers, and Shrubs.
I hope that this helps you!! Good Luck with your Bushes!! Take Care!
Hello Anthony, If you don't get any response from "Free bushes", you will have to dig them up. Try to dig down enough to get their root systems. If you will not be planting anything to replace the bushes, you can sprinkle some salt in the holes. Salt will kill everything it comes in contact with including any roots you couldn't get out. Hope this helps you. Good luck.
After having the bushes removed, place landscape fabric, cardboard or newspaper down as a weed barrier first. Then place your mulch or decorative rocks. I would add some tasteful garden art to make it look even prettier.
