What is the best way to get rid of Spanish Moss ?

Prior to use, it is recommended that you physically remove as much of the moss as possible and then spray the affected tree(s). was told by gardener spray with liquid copper to kill moss..Problem is it will spot any thing and permantly stain it gets on.. the other choice is what I do pull off with rake.. alas you do have to cover your self very good as spiders and bugs WILL find you as you pull it off trees..LOOK out for POWER lines if you use rake method...Helpful Reply -

I think the conditions are what it likes , so the only thing you can do is manage it. Use it to line hanging baskets. Bag it up and sell it on. some people would love it, including me, but I am in UK.Helpful Reply -
