baby powder...works great !
I buy it at the dollar store..you can even buy the medicated one that has eucalyptus in it which also helps repel. I have birds in the house and every spring I am inundated by ants that get under the shingles and somehow into the house. I sprinkle the powder around the baseboards and also outside around the foundation. Buying at the Dollar Tree makes this an easy fix.
Yup ! Tried the powder after many other attempts at getting rid of them. I tried vinegar too...not good. The beauty of the baby powder is you just sweep it into the cracks and that's that. In ONE day they were not coming in to the house...and outside were not coming up the foundation. It was a blast ! For a DOLLAR? SO simple.
instant grits. sprinkle it *around* the mound. ants take it into the mound and a few days to a week the mound is gone! (*if you sprinkle it on the mound the ants will carry it away)
I used corn meal....haven't seen ants in 2 years
yep - corn meal :)
