If by mod, you mean Mod Podge, then no. That will not stand up to deck usage. Talk to your local hardware store to find out what is the best product they care for this project. If you didn't mean Mod Podge - oops. I don't know any other meaning of mod. :( Wishing you the best & Happy New Year. -

Put a couple coats of polyurethane on the deck. Outside Deck Paint was the way to go.... -

Exterior Varnish would be much better and will last longer......... -

Polyurethane or varnish will do the trick best- good luck!
