You might want to add some shade with over head shading awning or shades hanging from a pergola type covering or something similar.
Rather than spending money on cushions, Amazon has “shade sails” for Very reasonable prices. Yes, it will involve a little bit of work, but two points of it could likely be attached to your house with clips, so that you can remove out of season. With varying colors and shapes, you might decide you want a couple of them.
Have fun.
When cushions get wet and the sun continually dries them out the fabric will fade. Get some colorful cushions and remove them or cover them up when not in use.
Thanks sounds great! I'll start looking into it.
Yes, you definitely need some kind of sun screen. A pergola or the sun shades, or bamboo screening. You will enjoy the space more.
Thanks!
Thank you I'll start working on some of the suggestions.
Becky, do you want to 'jazz up' the whole patio, or just the furniture, with adding more color?
Replacing the neutral pots with large bright ones would instantly add some zest, and they are more colorfast than any fabric. Also, you might want to consider trying your hand at spray painting the drab brown metal chairs a livelier color.
