How do I take posts off of 4 poster bed?




I’m tired of the 4 poster rice bed we have, but can’t afford new bed. What’s the easiest way to remove post for a new look?

saw them off at the height you want. Decorate the blunt ends any way you want!!
The bed needs support to hold mattress frame. Anyplace above that is extra. Use a handsaw, jig saw, or reciprocating saw to cut the posts off at the desired height. You will need to sand the rough edges and then paint/stain the ends to match the posts.
After you saw them off, you can add a finial.
