I would use a spray acrillic sealer, you do not want your piece to yellow with Lacquer.
I agree. A polyurethane sealer will 'yellow' over time.
Yes, a spray on sealer, Rustoleum makes a good product.
Water base poly in a spray can. At least three coats. Water based poly does not yellow. Oil based does.
I personally think that a spray acrylic sealer is the best choice.
I agree with spray acrylic sealer. Polyurethane will for sure yellow!

Try a coat of fast drying spray first in case the markers want to bleed. then seal with brush on poly called crystal clear.
Hi Michel, I would use a spray-on polyurethane. Most big spray paint manufacturers have them in gloss, satin, and matte.
P.S. your table is beautiful
Polyvine or other water based sealant will be the way to go. That will seal and not yellow or change the colors.
Hello Michel, you can buy a nice matte clear coat to spray over it, like mod podge matte, it won't yellow,

Rustoleum brand makes great sealers. I'd use a clear polyacrylic one so it doesn't yellow over time. Three coats, with appropriate drying time in between coats will be best.
I would use a spray sealer. Don't use any brush on sealer it may ruin the paint.
Try those markers on cardboard after there dry then paint them with poly and see if they run if they don’t your good
Thank you everyone for your advice!
So I did use polyic sealer brushes on and all paint smeared. So I have re sanded whole table back down and repainted with three coats of white chalk paint rustoleum white linen. Before I looked back at these replies.
Thank you thank you! All! I’ll show you finished project.
An acrylic sealer is definitely the way to go. I really like your table, you did a great job!
