What's the best way to make wicker furniture weather resistant?

Just moved into a home with a great screen room. Already have some natural wicker and rattan furniture to use there and want to do whatever I can to prolong the life of these pieces. Need protection from moisture and intermittent direct sunlight.

they need sprayed with a clear coat varnish front back, up side and down side. i believe you can get storage covers for them that will keep the rain off. -

Spray them with varnish in a spray can. Make sure to do the underside, too. -

Spray pint with infusion paint. For plastic -

Poly can protect true wicker furniture from the elements. Make sure the feet are covered to prevent water damage. -

Use marine spar varnish or urethane. -
