Layering stain to give your furniture a cool look. I layered two different colors of stain with a light sanding in between coats and finished it off with a Polycrylic-Gloss coat.

Leslie D on May 23, 2013Love this look! Would you have any suggestions for staining these pieces? I don't want it as weathered as this piece, but want more of a dark, warm, worn antique look and thought perhaps mixing/layering a couple of colors of stain would work. Any techniques you may have would be helpful for achieving that look would be helpful. Thanks! http://www.hometalk.com/diy/paint/q-gonzales-rustic-furniture-find-but-i-want-it-to-look-antique-help-1476425
