Hello. A lot of people do coffee staining using strong coffee and submerging the wood.

After brewing and cooling the coffee, use a brush or rag to apply it to the wood. Let it sit until you have the desired shade and wipe it off. I've also heard of putting steel wool in a glass jar with some used coffee grounds. Add a cup of vinegar, shake, and let it sit overnight. Mix it and use on the wood. (I would probably strain it a bit).
This can be done with instant coffee too:

Instant Coffee Wood Stain
You can boil it, then strain it. Then you have a liquid that can be used to stain wood. Another thing I have done was use it to temporarily dye a white tablecloth to an off white/beige color. The longer you leave it in, the deeper it gets. We used 5 gallon buckets, dipped, and hung to dry. Then it all washed out.
Hi Abby, it's pretty easy to do since coffee acts like any other wood stain. Depending on how dark or rich you want to color to be mix up a cup of your favorite brew, the strong the brew the darker the stain. Lighter, soft wood like pine is better suited to staining with coffee.
Brew the coffee and let it cool, then brush it on with a foam brush and wipe off with a damp rag. Keep applying it until the wood is as dark as you like. You'll then need to seal it or wax it.

I believe they use instant coffee for this. I would make it extra strong then just paint it with a brush onto your wood. You will probably need to wax or seal it after.
Paint it on the wood with a brush. Repeat as the wood will absorb the coffee until you get the desired colour stain.
Strong very hot coffee. Soak wood in it. It should absorb it. Let it dry. May need to be sanded a bit after because it will raise the grain in the wood.
