Look into home depot or your nearest hardware store. Or look into these people who built fireplaces into new homes ask. You can look up into the internet.

  • Call the contractor back to fix and insist on new vents! They are sold at any home improvement store. What is with these contractors???? Never ever provide final payment until a final walk through and inspection has been done and you are 100% satisfied.

If you can remove the vents, you can clean and spray paint them and reinstall them turned the other way.

My first thought even before I saw the picture. I would paint them to matchstone and "disappear"

Try one of the habitat restores or a salvage yard.

I agree withnJulie. Remive it, spray paint and put it back on the right way. Clean out the vent when you have it off. A very inexpensive and easy fix that you should be very happy with.

Good idea, Sandy, and, if the rubble is stuck in place, use some flat black spray paint to mask it, then put the vent in any way you want... the rubble won't show.

I agree with Julie: remove, spray paint and reinstall them...At least that way you know the will fit. I think gray to match the stone and mortar would be best, so they are not more evident, than they need to be.
