Off balance ceiling fan, how do I know which blade to put a weight on?
I have a ceiling fan that is off balance. How do I know which blade to put a weight on or does it matter? Thanks in advance :)

Weights go on as many blades to balance the fan. I use a penny and double stick tape and stick it one blade a couple inches from the edge of the blade. Turn the fan on and see if it spins smoother. If not I remove the penny and go on to the next blade. Sometimes it may take two pennies it smooth it out or opposing blades. Just trail and error.
