Makeover on nightstand - top laminate came off

I purchased a nightstand at G'dubs and while moving it, the top laminate came off. It is in good condition, just no longer attached. What adhesive is best for reattaching or should I leave it off and try something else for the top?

@Brenda Albright if you go to a home supply store that sells the veneer, you will find the adhesive recommended. I would also talk to someone in that department, it may be that it is more difficult to reattach old veneer (previous adhesive will be hard and uneven making it difficult to reattach. You may have to purchase new veneer (not expensive) and sand the old surface prior to attaching. Good luck.

    Contact cement.
  • If it came off in one piece, you can re-fix it with contact cement. We did this on an antique jukebox.
