How do fix a concrete patio that slopes towards my house?

Was the land underneath the patio levelled/graded properly before the concrete was applied?

Who did the work, and did both of you sign a written contract for the job before any work was begun?

If you used Builders, then call them back in to sort it out. If you did it yourself, then you are going to have to rent an Angle Grinder and take the area back where it meets the house about 6 inches and fill the void with gravel to drain water away.

I would first check all gutters to make sure water isn't coming off the roof and pooling in different areas that could flow back towards the house as well. Once the gutters have been cleaned and checked and you still have a problem, Then I would start looking at your yard and seeing where the water is flowing and then figuring out the best placement for adding some drainage perforated pipes so that the water has some assistence flowing away from the house. This might be the type of drain pipe that you will need to insert into the dirt around the house or around the patio or areas you are getting too much water:

I would get the builders back. It is not as easy as pouring more concrete over the first lot.

I would talk to the contractor that did the concrete work. It should not slope toward your house.

Yes, bring back the builders/installers. I agree with K. Rupp, check your gutters and drainage flow when it rains.

Rookie or sloppy contractors. Is your contractor licensed? Pull out your contract, call out your contractor and photograph each area from different angles to show water draining towards the house and foundation. Water intrusion issues are very costly to repair. Stand your ground and don't cave in. Any repairs or repour is on their dime, not yours. They did not install correctly so they are responsible. If they do not comply, take them to small claims court, you can do it yourself without an attorney. Document everything. Good luck.

Hi Stevie, you could get those places mud jacked, they come in and pump up the concrete from underneath it. Or you could try it yourself

You can etch the concrete and add some more ready mix to it.

The builder should correct it. New concrete will not hold to old and crumble. He may be able to resurface it with a latex polymer cement mix. But that is also iffy
