You can do it but I would leave it to the experts. Since you are cutting a hole in the concrete foundation you have to make sure you are waterproofing everything correctly and not messing up the structural integrity of the foundation.You can check out www.bartleycorp.com for more concrete ideas.

View from the inside. You need to either have it unfinished to do the work or you will have to do some selective demo of a finished basement.
