How to protect sliding Glass patio door from leaking Cold into the house in Winter time?

    You can use clear caulk around the seams,or they have commercial Weatherization strips in Lowe’s and Home Depot

    You can buy large sheets of plastic to use with a hair dryer. It sell in stores and works really well.

    Brrr! Great question. If you can’t seal it than I suggest a draft sock. You can make your own with a tube of material or a long sock. Fill with rice for weight and stuffing or insulation for air flow blockage.

    The area under the trim surrounding the inside of your door may not be properly insulated. Loosen one side just enough to look underneath and see if the gaps are filled with batt insulation or spray foam. If not, you need to remove all of the trim and insulate.

  • You can use a draft stopper or two. One in front of the door and one in the track when the door isn't in use.
