Should I continue the backsplash on the other wall?

We are putting in a backsplash. 2 pictures. Pic #1 - Side of kitchen almost done. Pic #2 - The backsplash will go on the wall behind sink. BUT...should it also be on that short side wall under the cabinet and out to where the countertop is? That wall has some damage from the countertop that was removed. Thanks for the advice!

Because of the damage to the wall, I say yes. It would probably also look really good if you continued up the entire wall with the white subway tiles (backsplash pattern at the bottim area only.)

Yes, I would add backsplash to every inch of space above the countertop to help protect the walls. Here are some examples:

Definitely continue the back splash. If you want to stop at a certain point you can get finishing edge tiles. They are skinny tiles with rounded edges. You can buy them at Floor and Decor, Lowes, or Home Depot.

All the designers on Houzz say not to put tile on the side.
